Requirements and Points to note	Registration with  Cy RBFSFTD is  compulsory for those working as Clinical Dietitians, Dietitians, nutritionists or dietitians with any specialization in the public, private, industry sector in Cyprus. According to Cy RBFSFTD dietitian is the specialist who acquires at least a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics, the clinical dietitian is the one who has the title/qualification of SRD (from Health Professional Council), or RD (from Commission of Dietetic Registration), or a MSc in Clinical Dietetics, or an approved title of  clinical dietetics from a country  where  the title/qualification  is determined by a law . The nutritionists are the specialists acquire a degree in Nutrtion and the specialized dietitians , those who have a graduate degree in a specialized area of dietetics. The qualifications and the responsibilities of all the professionals are determined by the law  for the registration of dietetians in Cyprus [N31/I(96)]  and the bylaws of the CyDA. The law protecting the profession of dietetics in Cyprus and enforced by the registration board  is active since 1996.
