Karin Hådell

Karin Hådell is qualified as both an administrative and a clinical dietitian from the University of Uppsala, Sweden and has gained many years of practical experience in leading positions in both fields. Her clinical work has been focused on lifestyle related diseases but she also has experience in other areas.
She has been involved in research at local, national and international levels and is author/co author to a number of scientific papers.
Karin has also worked as a teacher in dietetics education and as a private practitioner.
 
Karin has been active in the Swedish Association of Dietitians as member of the Board, Vice Chairman, international representative and as member of many committees. She served for many years in the International Confederation of Dietetic Associations (ICDA), first as a member of the Planning Committee and then as a member of Board of Directors up to 2004.
Karin has served as an EFAD Delegate for 20 years, for a period also as a member of the Executive Committee. She was elected Honorary President of EFAD in 2006
She has been involved in a number of EFAD projects and reports, including the "Education Programs and Work of Dietitians in the Member States of EFAD” and the EFAD Future Plans Group.
