Requirements and Points to note	The states in Germany (Bundesländer) are responsible for the registration of health professions. Qualifications acquired outside Germany will be accepted if the applicant is able to prove he/she meets the requirements the Directive 2005/36/EC (The European Parliament and the Council of the European Union Directive 2005/36/EC on the recognition of professional qualifications). Non- EC have to sit an examination or complete a course of adaption to professional knowledge and skill. Non-EC applicants also require a residence permit (from local department of foreign affairs (Ausländerbehörde in der Stadt/Kreisverwaltung)) and a work permit (from local employment exchange (Arbeitsamt).
