Requirements and Points to note

At this time in Greece Dietitians are not officially registered.  However, the Hellenic Dietetic Association (HDA) is working in that direction and we hope to be successful in this in the near future. In the meantime, the Hellenic Dietetic Association will: accept as members, and give information on work opportunities  only to dietitians with a degree from Harokopio University, or, with a higher degree from another country (provided this has been approved as equivalent to our university degree, by the official body, DIKATSA, based in Athens).  Information concerning this procedure will be available from HDA.  As far as job opportunities are concerned, foreign dietitians could work only in the private sector (freelance, in food companies or slimming centres or private clinics), but not in public hospitals.
